Hi All

I bought car couple couple of months ago and it started showing Engine Diagnostic Indicator Lamp on dash board.

When i got it checked, garage said that Exhaust system 2 of valves needs to be replaced. I am not very technical in it so didn't understand much.

He shown me the part of the engine which has 4 sections of 4 valves each. so in one of the section 2 walves needs to be changed.

i am wondering if they have opened my engine like this, will this make any performace difference?

i am new driver, just worried if they are doing right or not. please guide me.

thanks

Is the car driving OK, I think that the garage meant the o2 sensor that measures the exhaust gas

thanks for the quickie

Car was driving ok but it was shaking when stand still. while driving it was okie.

I don't know but they were showing me the valves and telling me that gas comes from these 2 vlaves and then explosion happens and then the other 2 valves get opened and that sends gases to outside, so the valves which takes gases outside are not closing properly so they want to change them

how much that cost generally... they haven't given me any estimate yet

Absolutely i have been shown to these valves only!!

Is this big work? can they charge too much?

Its just orthodox thinking that if engine is opened means car is no more ggod :(
