Exhaust system, where to get one ?

Hi there , I'm in need of a new exhaust system for my C class coupe CL203 1.8 Kompressor , having a hard time to locate one . Main dealers quoted me over £2000 !! After markets seem to not stock anymore . Any ideas? I live on south coast ,West Sussex area .

Get one in stainless steel fitted ,And forget it for years to come .My S/S was fitted 20 years ago .

You could probably get whatever componenets you need from eBay.

(I got a centre box for my Vito sent from Germany for £54.90 through ebay. Might be slightly different post Brexit. It's lasted longer than the original!)

I have to admit I’d also be looking at the stainless steel route option and you can get them to sound no louder than OEM. Good selling point too.

Aftermarket standard replacements will be a headache for quality and durability on my experience.

Nothing much on eBay ,only a cheapie from Poland .

If you don't want to go for a stainless one, you need to find the MB references for the individual parts and then Google them. I got lucky with a new cat for 500 Euro delivered to the door versus about 2500 from MB.

I tried to find a decent brand exhaust for a 209 CLK320 petrol recently and couldn’t find one at all, even on German eBay. I would get a stainless made from scratch and forget. There’s a powerflow in Brighton.

Had similar for my old w124 e300d some years ago , quality systems that will marry up ok with stock system .. only difference is they are galvanised before being welded so you just need to put something on the pipe welds really before fitting but it will only be an aerosol of some description

Most all Mercedes come with bolted joints in the silencers, so you can unbolt them , and replace just one section at a time .My silincer uses the original down pipes from the engine , with a joint thats bolted to s.s right through .

I had a full stainless set up made for my old Forward Control Land rover. Cost about £500 from memory but it was a while back
Best thing was the sound. It sounded absolutely awesome.

Powerflo Morecambe did it - they have franchises all over.

Also used Powerflo Aylesbury for work on the 129. Again reasonable costs and great work. Ant at ARO exhausts. He's usually booked ahead for months.

Don’t search for “CL203” - your car isn’t a CL (which was the S class coupe)

you have a C203 that may get you more hits.
