exhaust sytem on SLK200

I have a 2 year old car with 36000 miles on the clock. The connection between the exhaust pipe and the manifold is "blowing" and needs replacing. Does anyone know if this is the usual life expectancy for this part or should it last much longer as it did on my previous SLK. Does any one know if this is covered on the warranty or classed as normal wear and tear.

The bracket just below that joint breaks of,

It will be covered!!

It has never come up before on this engine,,It must be a warranty job, at that age and mileage, there is no way that is wear and tear,,could be some more answers in later

Also the rear joint blows where the two pipe split, again covered, if under warranty!
