My sprinter 311 has ASSYST and i'm told that all these models have an external temperature sensor and the temp is readable by pressing a button on the dash. Well, i do this and nothing happens. So could the sensor be faulty? and the main part....where is it located on the van?

it'll be at the front end somewhere.

on the cars it's usually on or around the bumper.
on my v class the sneaky beakys have hidden it behind the front number plate
