Extra juice... C280 (W202)

It seems I'm being thwarted in an attempt to squeeze a little extra out of my low mileage (65k) 96 '280 Sport.

ECU chips are not available for the I-6, unless I remove the ECU and have it manually removed and sent way to ECU fairyland.

I figured a SprintBooster would pacify me but they're not available for my car either...

Before I buy a used ECU and have it modified, is there any other reasonably priced performance item I'm missing?

Firms will re map on the car for a gain of around 18bhp, but that cost £200
