Hi everyone, I am new here. Hoping someone can shed some light here. I have a rhd 2003 E500. I need to find fuse 74 which is located in the front prefuse power distributor. It is not in the passenger or driver foot well, or in the boot alongside the wheel arch, or in the engine bay near the auxillary battery. It's also not under the front cowl between the wiper or under the back or drivers seat......I suspect the 40A fuse that sits in fuse holder 74 is blown as I have no power going to my k67 airmatic relay. Any help here would be greatly appreciated as the car now is slammed to the ground and can't be driven

The website Fuse - Box Info gives a diagram and photos of where Fuse 74 is for your car.

Hi Peter, I appreciate your reply....that site shows fuse 74, which sits in the front prefuse box (known as F3) to be located under the carpet on the passenger side footwell, where the floor starts angling up to the firewall. It's not there , or in the other spots I have outlined in my previous message....it must be somewhere but I am at a lost...

Hi
i have a 2004 w211 estate 320 OM648. The fuse in my car is under the drivers floor carpet. I had to remove the accelerator pedal, as well as other trim pieces to get to it. I was chasing a charging issue. If you want to remove the whole fuse unit you will need to get under the car as there is a 14 or 15mm nut that bolts the fuse box through the bottom of the car. The nut is “hidden” by a small metal cover to the rhs of the exhaust.

not sure if your car will be exactly the same. But the fuse box is exactly the same as in the image on FuseBox info.

good luck
scott

Hi Louis
a more precise location for mine, it is pretty much under the footwell incline by the left leg footrest.

I wish I had taken photos when I was removing the carpet, side panel trims etc.

trying to attach a couple of photos of the fusebox.

Hello Master Pippen007 (Sir Scott); I have found prefuse 74. It seems that unlike the rear prefuses which stay in the same position, the front prefuses move from the lhs to the rhs when going from left to right hand drive......I crown you Sir Scott Pippen. You're a legend. Thankyou so much for your timely advice, I had resigned myself to taking it to a Merc dealer....that would have been painful.

Louis
