Failed central locking on front passenger door

All help gratefully received...
The front passenger door lock has gone money in our c250. The button doesn’t drop or rise...and if pressed down you have to wrench the inside door handle to force it up.
All other electrics are fine...
I’m guessing it’s a case of removing the door card...drill the rivets on the inner skin and replace the whole mechanism.. or is there an easier way?

I dont think so , you need a new door card on those i think
