Hi,
Wanted to ask peoples thoughts on buying an 1989 320CE pillarless coupe.
Looks Beautiful seems to be in great working order. Limited Dealer stamps to2001 but documented history. 152K miles on the clock.
What price should I be looking to pay ? I can't seem to find anything to compare it with.
Any help or tips appreciated.

You say 320 in your thread. Guess you mean 300, as in 1989 it will be the 3 litre 12 valve model.

Parkers do older cars prices online for a small fee (£3 last time I used). Not sure if it goes back quite that far but you can still get an idea if you use the oldest one on the system.
It is very useful as it shows alternative prices for mileage, and whether private purchase or dealer etc.

There is also 'Trader' web site, and 'Merc Enthusiast' mag from WS Smith.

Price do vary wildly and it is condition which is most important, not miles.

Unless you are familiar with Mercs you need to try and see a few cars to gauge and compare the condition of the car you are interested in.

What price is being asked ?

Regards

Sorry I do mean a 300CE, He's after £3K. Its a little more than I wanted to pay. I havn't seen it in the flesh yet but from the photo's and talking to him it sounds very promising. It seems a little more than others I've seen.
Never bought a car with so many miles on it (150K). It does have a couple tiny bits of rust. I can get a much newer car for 3K,but I love the Merc coupes of this era.
