Standard switchable resistor which would be put inline at your engine's temp sendor unit to trick it into thinking the engine's cold & therefore inject more fuel. Probably works fine..........................................

on a 20 year old Astra.

I wouldn't trust it on anything newer:rolleyes:

Well I have just had my weekend treat fried egg with a baked bean on toast.

As type 49 says its only a resistor 4.7kΩ that was used on the first scam, this one is switchable so it will be Off then 2.2kΩ next 3.3kΩ and last the 4.7kΩ.

This couples into the water temp or air temp sensor. these sensors measure around 5kΩ at 20c outside temp, when the engine is hot they go down to zeroΩ

For the forum a year back I fitted one to my SL320 but I fitted to a micro switch that only came in on kick down.

more power, that was hard to say but you certainly needed more power to work longer to pay for the extra fuel it used.

Eventually the O2 sensor must do something about it as the exhaust gases would be far to rich

What a way to make money, the meters they are selling at£15 I could buy in bulk at £4
