Some other ideas:

W140 S600 - these will be dirt cheap.

W124 500E - Cost about 10k, are lhd only but will be a lot tougher than a C43

W124 E60 - Good luck finding one!

W202 C55 - Ditto!

W210 E36 - Not as quick as the E55 but not as expensive / desirable either

An slk32 amg is by far the quickest slk (it's a supercharged 320) but auto only I'm afraid.

Difficult to say, the '32 AMG only comes with Auto. But it screams up to 60 in 5 seconds.

The amg will be too expensive need to be 320 manual, it will be fast enough,i suppose

I maybe wrong but i believe that they never made a manual 320CLK and to be honest i don,t think i,ve ever seen a manual AMG either.
The largest engined Mercedes i,ve seen that has been manual has been the 230 and the 230K (K=supercharger for the uneducated).

There are a few manual slk320s around (which is what Eurest had seen and started this thread asking about) but you are right with regards to the AMG. Auto only.

yes have seen two or three manual 320 slk for sale, maybe need to take lessond driving automatic lol
