Help needed please,
My 2013 E220cdi keeps showing this fault code.
It is having much problem starting first time in the day, if it is cold outside then it might have starting problems all thru that day.
Upon sitting in the car to start i watch for the heater lights to go off, then i turn the key.
NOTHING HAPPENS, the lights in dash do not dim at all.
I can turn the key many times, most times when it does start it is as the key is on the return ( disengaging from the full start position)
The above fault code is the same from MB dealer ship as with the AA
Sometimes i get the attached message showing on my dash
Thanks from Michael

Hello and welcome,

First things first, what's your battery like? less than 12.4v at rest with engine off denotes it needs charging / replacing.

Battery is less than 6 months old, NOT a cheap battery

if you had the car diagnosed at the dealer ( The above fault code is the same from MB dealer ship as with the AA) what did they say it was and the cost to rectify.

never known a dealership to just give a customer a fault code and not say what it is.....

Isn’t fault u012087 something to do with communication between the battery and alternator?

The dealer says they want to have my car for about a week maybe longer, so they can check it out to find out why it gives this code, no mention about cost.

As the car is 9yo and out of warranty, why not take it to a recommended local Indy who will do you a better job than main stealer?
