Good afternoon all.
Just purchased a 2005 CLK 280 3.0ltr convertible
Absolutely stunning and I love it.
Only downside is it does not have Bluetooth and apparently won’t support iPhone 11
I would also like to know how to move the dash clock back in sync with the command.
Thank you for the addition to the forum

Have a look at https://www.commandonline.co.uk/Mercedes_Bluetooth_HFP.html . It slots into a connector in the centre cubby box, but you would need to check the connector is there. It will definitely work with an iPhone 11 for calls but not music.

If you're after music then iPod interfaces are the way to go with iPhones, have a look in your glovebox.

I 'think' you have the ntg2, and the only one of those I have doesn't have nav. However all of the others [ntg1, ntg2.5 & ntg3] update the car clock from settings on the radio.

If you go android I would suggest trying it first or going on the recommendation above, because the one I bought was terrible!

Thank you for that.
Have you got one, does it have sat nav and will it work with iPhone 11?
I will check it out tonight

I do. Externally, mine is the older model e.g. COMAND 2.0 but they have the same internals.
I tether it to my iPhone X for data and it runs the same apps as any other Android device can e.g. google maps, WAZE etc.
It has the ability to stream from my phone but I never really use it as I can stream natively on the device or play FLAC files from the uSD cards.
Like any technology you do have to look at the specs carefully or you could have a bad experience like @drdansky which is something that you often hear.

Hardware wise look for an octacore CPU, 4Gb ram and 32Gb storage as a minimum and there are plenty of happy users of this type.

The unit I linked to is more up to date than mine and also supports Apple carplay which gives you another option for using your phone as the main device.

I wouldn’t entertain going to a genuine MB unit as I think it would just be too archaic. I do not know what the most up to date Nav software would be but would guess it would be around a decade old which just doesn’t come close to what an online system such as WAZE offers.
You can also have DAB+, reversing cam etc and IMO, sounds at least as good as the unit it replaced.

Great feedback and info thank you.
I am unable to find a unit the same size as my original. Would you be kind enough to send a link please and did you install it yourself?
Appreciate your time

Welcome great cars I had two a 200K & a 270CDI.
I am not a fan of MB sat navs, they are slow to calculate, poor live traffic, no camera warning, & expensive annual updates. So take the advice of AnthonyUK.

I’ll try :)

What are the measurements please as I assume it is related to this note on the Erisin link?

Important Note:
1. This unit has front panel size 260mm(Top width)*120mm(High)*240mm(Bottom width), please check your
dashboard size before bid to avoid mistake!
2. If your W209 car's radio is similar to this item, but its front panel size has only 254mm*120mm*238mm (X), this item will not fit your car. please don't bid it
3. If this unit's Front Panel Size can not fit your BENZ C/CLK older model car, please find the other item ES8716 in our shop
