Greetings, everyone! Just bought my first Mercedes in October after being in an Audi for a year. I'm 19 and the Audi was my first car, this is my second car. I'm looking to refresh, renew, and make beautiful my first Mercedes after it was left for dead in an auction in Arizona.
Bought for $425 as a "No-Key, Mechanical Fault" vehicle from Copart, shipped it to my place in California. Lo and behold, a key came with the car in the ignition. I replaced the 12 volt battery and the alarm siren (common for internal battery to go out and then the car's security system, i.e. EIS, anti-theft system not recognize the key), and the car fired right up!
After doing a coilover conversion and throwing sway bars from a junkyard S430 (so sad to take apart), the vehicle is currently my daily my daily and will be an occasional track car.
