First time in a Mercedes.

Said hello earlier on today and explained I've just 'inherited' my fathers 2001 reg Mercedes E320 cdi. Looked through the posts and the main theme seems to be watch out for....rust rust rust and more rust. Is there any reasonable priced cure.

Sadly not,,, the best way to keep it nice is to waxoil all the car including the tops and bottoms of the doors. There are some superb examples around, they did not all rust.

Yes, if you can weld, it's easy enough to cut out the rust and weld in new metal. The front wings aren't dear.

Washing it regularly is pretty effective too, especially if can pressure wash the nooks and crannies. Some people seem to think that cars should go on forever without any attention.
