Fitting Air-con in a C230

Hi there,

I have just purchased a 1997 C230 sport automatic (non kompressor) which has pretty much every extra fitted (leather, cruise, etc) but no air-con!

Does anyone know where I can get this fitted at a reasonable cost?? I live in north london.

It can be done but you are looking at least £1200-£1500, probably a bit more. It is a major, the whole of the dash needs to be removed.

My previous C180 did not have air con, I looked in to fitting it myself with the help of a air con friend specialist, basically I came to the conclusion that the money would be better spent on a part ex for a car that already had air con. So thats what I did!

If I remember correctly, one of the most expensive individual items of the kit was the switch and control unit, as it had to be MB OE parts else it would not look right.
