hello, I've got hold of a remote locking kit I want to fit to my 124. I understand I need to connect it to the vacuum pump under the back seats, but I'm guessing it being Mercedes the wiring will be completely non-obvious on what goes where.
Anyone done this before who can offer up any advice?

cheers.

Any of the wires on the round three pin plug operate the switching motion of the vacum pump.

The flat plug is the power supply for the vacum pump.

use a standard test lamp (not an LED 1) test for a feed on the pins when u hit the right 1 the doors should lock or unlock this will also tell u thats it a negative pulsed system.

You will find three wires at the pump, one is an earth, the other two are open and close wires

Actually got 2 connectors- 6 wires (2 green, 2 blue, 2 yellow) on the round connector, and the flat connector has red/brown power wires.

My remote locking relay has 12v power/ground, plus the 2 lock/unlock wires.

So excuse me for asking for this in idiot terms, but I presume I connect my 12v power to one of the red wires in the flat connector, and then the 2 lock/unlock wires to 2 of the wires in the round connector?

A wire from the locking relay directly connected to one of the 3 pins on the the round connector on the vacuum pump would activate the locking, but not the unlock. I'm guessing it's something to do with the pulse length?
