Flashing indicators

Hello all
Just brought a 2006 Vito 2.1 when locking with key fob the indicators are flashing when the vehicle is locked?
Any ideas

Hello and welcome

They should flash 3 times to show it is locked. If it goes on for longer then it indicates that one or more of t doors isn’t closed. It can also mean on some that the batteries in the key fob need replacing

Blobcat thank-you for your reply I’ll check what you said and go from there.

How reliable are the Vitos I’m first time owner.
It’s a 2006 2.1 RWD done 150k. Just wanted some pointers really.

Welcome Vitonewbie, Yes as blobcat has already mentioned the indictors should flash 3 time when the van is properly locked. if not its usually one the the side door multipin switches/strikers usually need a clean.

1st test is to press to lock a 2nd time, if that extinguishes the indicators it is then likely that the alarm sounder is goosed. That is assuming yours has the alarm as many don't.

Otherwise as Kev says check the doors are locked.
If one isn't locked go in lock it from inside, exit from another door and then try to lock with the fob. That might show which door is the issue.
