Flat paint.

My brother had some paint work done on his W204, it was scratched on rear door and wing.
It was repaired about 18/24 months ago, I saw him at the weekend and we were talking cars as usual.
I had a look over his car and the repainted panels seem to have gone ever so slightly Flat.
What can be done to rectify this , a mop and polish ??

Shouldn’t go that flat in that length of time.
Older car finishes it’d be the usual mantra- polish, seal and wax (ceramic if you’re being fancy pants)
The repaired panels should be better than the originals in that respect. Worth contacting the repairers for advice maybe

Hi All,
Just a bit of an update on this .
Returned to Coachworks today and they agree it needs a little something to bring it back and shine.
Apparently it’s not Flat as I discribed, but it’s “Dropped Back” . Technical Term
The gents there are going to take the finest grade wet and dry on it , and polish back up.
All free of any charge, so brother is well pleased and glad I mentioned it to him.
This Coachworks have painted 2 of Mike Brewers cars out of his personal collection.
If I can find some pictures, I’ll pop them on.
