Flip down screen

I'm thinking of getting a flip down screen so that the kids can watch DVD's in the back on long journeys.

Does anyone have any experience, advice or details of an independant company that is good and reliable at this kind of work. I'm in Hampshire so would prefer a company located this side of Watford.

Thanks.

IMO - the cost of fitting a DVD player and screen'(s) compared to the cost of the portable hang on the back of the seat type was not worth it for me. As far as resale is considered it makes the vehicle more sale-able but does nothing for the price. With the portable type you can take it out (security) and you can also use it away from the car on holiday, as well as in other cars.
However having said that a really nice pioneer flip down screen or well fitted screens into the rear headrests do look very good. Not sure abour rearwards view with the flip down though you may have to test it. Mine has the alarm sensors in a pod in the middle of the roof and that is where I would have fitted one but went down the portable route instead.

I work at a big BMW dealership and someone had a Flip down Screen fitted (The type that go on the roof) and it cost around £3,000 fitted... It was 17" and looked VERY Nice Especially with the Blacked out rear windows and lights either side of the screen and the cup holders in the back (Looked like a Mini Cinema in the car ) :) . You could also unclip it from like the Docking station that stays attached to the roof to make it portable :)

Alot of money but looks great and would be great fun sitting in the back on long trips out with a PS2 etc plugged in :)

Now if it was because I was going to sit in the back every day and watch DVD then I might consider it. But this is for the occasional long run for the kids and £3000 is way too much. Thanks anyway.
