Hello folks
wonder can you help with this annoying little problem. When I switch on the Heated rear window switch on my 03 C270 I get interference on FM on the car radio station I'm listening to. I know it's trivial, and probably has a simple explanation but any advice is gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

Yes you have a few wires arcing in the glass,,one mod was to fit a 15,000 mfd cap across the window connectors of the glass of the side

Hmmm a 15,000 mfd cap? I don't know what that is Malcolm. Also where are the window connectors located. Bit of a plonker on the technical side I'm afraid.

You'll need someone handy with a soldering iron.

The connectors for the screen are usually on the nearside pillar. Just look at your rear window and you'll see where the power to the heater comes from.

15,000 mfd (microFarad) is the size of the capacitor. If you have a Maplin, RS Components or similar in your area then just go in and ask. An electrolytic type will physically, be the smallest.

As above,, you will need to remove the near side C pillar trim
