Hi, My fob for 2005 mercedes c class is a bit battered and bruised and i just purchased a new key fob from ebay. Is it possible to remove the chip from my current fob and put it into the new one and if so is there any risk of malfunction. I dont wont to take the chip out and then find that it will stop working and end up buying a brand new key from mercedes for over £100.

If you can separate the two halves of the case then fine, the only thing to glue it back together is plumbers pipe solvent, used very carefully.

Not if you are going to transfer the inside with yours.
