Follow up to E270CDI Servicing Issue? Possibly?

Thanks for all advice and i have now had the ASSYST set for synth and gained an additional 3000 miles

Local dealer can not/ does not know why i only get mile for mile and keeps telling me it is the way that i drive tried explaining that as the car is auto all i really do is steer the damned thing and that others do get better results with identical car.

Lodged my complaint on BBC Watchdog website Last night (Monday) and guess what? The dealer has been frantically trying to get hold of me today! So i urge all those with this mileage between service issue to log their info on the Watchdog website and if enough of us do it perhaps Mercedes may take notice.

Good result Frumpsta. I am now wondering if the vans have a changable setting on the assyst. Perhaps I could go as far as a 30k service interval with the right oil and the right setting? the oil analysis I had done seemed to suggest this was possible.
