Footbrake creaky

Hi, i posted this before but no joy, the brake pedal creaks on the release, sometimes it's more noticeable than others and my wife can now hear it!

Intiall a few weeks back it was internitent and now almost a regular happening. The sound appears to be coming from under the dash

Try spraying the mechanism with one of the PTFE -silicon lubricants, they are clean and lasting.

thanks, but spray which bits and what is ptfe and where do i get it from?

Tool shops etc, I even think that Halfords sell it., just spray as close as you can to the moving parts, its clean and safe.

which bits - Right near top of the brake pedal, it will be anchored to a horizontal shaft which allows it to pivot (or go up/down). You're looking for where the shaft goes through the pedal (probably a couple of bushes)
There's probably a spring attached to it which is worth a squirt
