Is it possible to fit four wheels with mounted tyres in the boot of an E250 W212? I do not have split seats.

I would say no, but I would think that you should be able to stack all 4 on the rear seat if you lay them flat. Just remember to cover the seats with something to prevent damage or soiling.

Sorry Malcolm the 212 has a bigger boot than the 216. I doubt you'd get 4 wheels in though.

When I tried this week it was OK for floor area, but not the height in the 216, the tyres were 225 so not that big.

Wouldn't fancy my chances with wheels flying around the cabin in an accident.

I can get 4 wheels with tyres into the boot of my 124 coupe - infact it's 5 wheels and tyres
as the spare is also in it's well location.

When stacked they're easy enough to wedge in place with the front seats,
depending on your seating position and probably less dangerous than putting them in load area of an estate as there would be less distance for them to gain velocity if you had an accident.

I they are wheels for your car then 'no way'.

I could get 4 in the estate....just.
3 across standing up and against the back seat and one across sideways, the boot would just close, with a little force.

I got 4 tyres onto the back seat of my car when I got them in Germany. Fitted a treat.
