Fractured front suspension spring

If you have a good spring compressor yes, but if you havnt no and then the price of getting one wouldnt be worth it so getting someone eles to do it, oh and always replace springs in pairs.

Always by from MB and make sure the springs you are supplied are the same as that have come off the car - also make sure you have your chassis number to hand when buying the springs;)

I agree.
When I needed one replaced, there were a multiplicity of options depending on engine fitted, if it had a sunroof,and lots of other things. (MB should have the details on record).
Using a standard spring compressor might be a bit difficult. Non of the racing mechanics which would touch it, but the local independant has got the right MB compressor to do the job.

It is possible to do one without the spring compessor but it can be a little dangerous. Get the tool and do it properly.
