I just replaced front discs and pads on my A250. After driving forwards then stop ,reverse and stop I get a loud clunk from the front pads. Happens again after driving in reverse ,stop, then going forwards then stop. Clunk. I know it`s the pads moving in the carriers. I measured the length of the pads at 144mm. The length of the carrier that the pads slot in is 147.8mm. I can actually slide the pads back and forth in the carriers replicating the noise. Autodoc lists every make of pad at 144mm which is what I`ve got . Why have I almost 4mm back and forth play in the pads ???? No wear on the carriers.
