Front suspension knock w211

Hi, Whats the most likely front suspension culprit for causing a knock going over speed bumps on the front of my 02 w211 e320cdi? i have bought two drop links, was wondering if any ball joints go the car has done 100,000 miles cheers Dave

drop links anti roll bar bushes and usual ball joints as per any other model. cant comment too well as im not familiar with the 211 set up, not sure how different it is to a 210

Yes very prone to ball joint wear, have a few customers and friends who have had to have arms and balljoints replaced, tho not sure of the mileages..

bottom ball joints is best place to start,iv also replaced a few of the balljoints which the arb links bolt to.

Yes, lower balljoints and anti-roll bar link balljoints as mentioned above. It won't be the roll bar links themselves as there are no joints to wear/cause the noise as it is seperated from the joint. The ARB balljoints can are pressed in/out so no need to replace the arm for this. You could test the ARB joints by undoing the nuts on the joints and seperating the links and then driving and seeing if the noise is gone.
Aside from this, another place to check would be the upper wishbone joint as these are quite common too.
