If the wheels are correctly balanced (front and rear) then you could have a buckeled wheel or possibly the wheels are not centered on the hubs.
You say the front wheels are vibrating do you feel it through the wheel or the seat?

Not directly relevant to your case but I once drove for a company in the early 90's and when they got their first Merc van it was handed to me. Unfortunatly it soon developed a wobble similar to an unbalanced wheel. Mercedes tried allsorts and even had a regional trouble shooter technichian look at the problem. Along the way they tried wheel balancing, wheel balancing on the vehicle, exchanging wheels(full set), exchanging propshaft, new shockers and even removed the box body to make sure it wasn't a turbulance problem. None of this helped and unfortunatly I left the firm before it was resolved (although in a way this was probably the end of it as I was the one pushing for a fix). It just goes to show that even with a determined effort from the manufacturer some problems are tricky to sort.

Sorry for not being very helpful.

Vibration through the wheel is most likely from the front wheels. If they are balanced are they buckled or flat spotted? Could also be engine mounts which could have gone hard. Although you would notice that at set engine speeds rather than a set road speed.
As per previous are the wheels MB and centered correctly or an aftermarket wheel?

you may not solve the problem with after market wheel as they cant be centered correctly, MB wheels are held central by the flange on the hub and not by the wheel bolts.

Spacer will upset your off set, and you do not want to do that, other than going back to MB wheels, as other members here have had to.

I do not know if the wheel bolts that you are using are correct for the wheels
MB use a ball and others use a taper. if still using original ball bolts maybe going to taper will help, when fitting them. look on the rear of your wheels to see if you have the grove that goes over the flange shown on the link below

Thanks, I saw the GR pricing 300 is kind of steep, and the engineer in me wants the car to function as designed. I think it will be easier to buy oem or used mb rims

What rims will you be looking for

I have a set of 15in 15 hole flat facers, ET 49, which I will probably want to get rid of in the Summer. I think something similar may have been fitted to your 300 E originally, but am not sure of the offest on yours

Vibration in wheels

Take in to a garage and ask them to replace the steering damper, they cost about £15 for part, then labour on top..
