I know it's the sound, but even if it was much louder, it still only lasts as short time ..... how noisy is the pump?
You can't hear anything aside from the fuel flap unlocking in my 210.

Not for my model, doesn't exist in mine. Had the boot carpet lining out and nothing there. Mine is a solenoid which shoot a small plastic bolt in and out.

Is yours a W204?

Obviously a time before I've had a Merc .... they're just a mass produced commodity now highlighted by the fact they are on every street corner. I remember a time when they were a rare sight on the roads.

DSC_0824.JPG The solenoid sends a plastic rod from where the red arrow is. Once it was snipped off I don't have the problem anymore, just means the cap doesn't lock at all. Still closes so not a huge problem.

This is an old thread but still relevant. I am having trouble with fuel flap on my 2017 CLS. The flap will not open, there is a pull release in the boot behind the trim...it is a red cable but pulling it is doing not a lot.
does anyone have any knowledge of how hard this release cable can be tugged.
Any other suggestions as the emergency release does not do much.

cheers

It can be pulled pretty hard, its part of the mechanism, if it cannot be moved you will have to force it open and then replace the mechanism.
