With all the doom and gloom around I thought I would add to it .There is a fuel duty increase coming into effect on April 1st which takes the taxation to 71p in the pound . I get the feeling this is being kept under the Radar due to all the other woes that have befallen us all. There is going to be a freeze on fuel duty but that doesn't take effect untill mid April . I think its time we all started making a ****** big noise about it.

Good point QS - bad news is only ever postponed, never cancelled.

Is the choice of April 1st significant?

Looking at the media this morning, others have noticed and the fuss is about to start.

And all vat registered smaller businesses like mine. It's not just fuel

Ok, so supermarkets boasted about price reductions, but so many things didn't lower in price that have VAT on them. SO many things stayed the same price to save effort changing price tags and inventories. So many things now cost ME more if it's business related due to the exc vat price being higher.

Bit more on fuel, well clearly they need more from us to do sod all useful with.
