Fuel filter advice

Hi all,

Got everything to change my fuel filter. Do I have to remove fuel filler cap to release pressure before I start and car has QTR tank of diesel currently?
Any advice welcome

Be ready for some spilt fuel.
Replace and cycle ignition for 15 seconds without starting a couple of times. That'll fill the new filter. The engine should start easily then, rev a little to clear any air.
With a funnel pour fuel in the old filter back into the fuel tank, better if that is with the inlet blocked, but no biggy.
