Guys,
Does any one know which way the arrow should pinf on the fuel filter for a sl320 01 model? i have got mixed responses ....... towards the front of the car or to the rear? Mine as it is point to the rear of the car, and in theory if it was the wrong way round would the car still drive ok? or would it not be a rough drive?
If i look at this fuel flow diagram i think the arrow is supposed to be facing towards the rear of the car?

Raj, looking under the car, the pipe from the tank goes on to the end of the pump and the arrow goes in the same direction, towatrds rear.

Correct me if I am wrong ,but the arrow on a fuel filter shows the direction of flow ,that is, towards the engine.

You are correct George, on the 064 versions or the last of the 129 along with a few others the pump is mounted under the filter and are no longer in tandem fashion, and the output from the filter is pointing towards the back of the car.

As you say " in the direction of flow" one does need to pay attention when dismantling.
