Fuel Filter Renewal on ML 270CDI

Hi, My ML 270CDI (2002 facelift) is due a fuel filter change, i know that it is situated under the nearside wheel arch behind a panel but before i start the job is there anyone who has carried out this work?....do the fuel line connections to the filter just 'unclip' or are there any particular tools needed?.

good news for you, your fuel filter is under the engine cover very easy to change it is only the petrol version that has it behind the n/s/ r wheel arch liner
