Hello can anyone help me out I had a new fuel pump fitted two weeks ago and the fuel gauge read half tank so I filled up with petrol and six. days later I run out of petrol and the gauge said half tank is there anything I can do to resolve this problem thanks Steve

Does the fuel pump need calibration for it to work properly as I have a new one fitted and is reading half tank when it was empty

Did the garage give you the old fuel pump..? If they did, then please put up a picture of the whole unit, but making sure the colours of the wires if any, are clearly visible. Putting a white tissue behind the wires helps the colors to stand out. Thanks.

Please have patience, members give their advice for free and do have lives away from the forum. As per previous no need to post the same question across 4 threads

I would be heading back to the garage that fitted the pump.

Was it a genuine pump they replaced with.

Fuel level is determined by a fuel sender located in the fuel tank and the fuel pump, pumps the fuel from the tank to the engine.
