Just gone to start my 300te 24v which has been parked up for a few weeks & have no power to the fuel pump.
Got sparks & everything else works too.
A bit embarrassed to ask, but where should the power come from?
Car has air con & ASD.

the relay is powered throught the MAS relay, an overcomplicated piece of kit. if you check the harness below the relay plug you will see the black/red/white wire that goes to the pump from the relay - check here for live.

A beautiful piece of equipment - turn the knob & it lifts itself out!!
A multitude of posts on the relay, yet only four of them go into a terminal.
Thanx for your help, I'll take a look soon.
Any reason why I can't bridge it to get it running, as I'm thinking of breaking it (the car that is).

You can pull the OVP relay out and bridge number 7 & 8 it will then run all of the time

Thanx Malcolm.
As I said, I almost feel embarrassed asking, but I've been so spoilt the last couple of months working on proper Mercs that it was as much as I could do to remember where the fuel pump relay should have been!! I nearly cra#*ed myself when it wasn't there!
I love the old thing, but it's almost MOT time & the exhaust is a bit ropey, the self levelling pipes are hanging in on a wing & a prayer, front wings are just starting to go etc, coupled to the fact that I've got too many cars again (just bought a 500SEL & a 190 2.6) so I just want to get it going & make an assesment of it at work first.

Hi Keith

I bought quite a few bits from your previous breaker (320 car).

I am still interested in a good OS front wing.

Can you give me first refusal on that please.

Thanks

Wings are just starting to go I'm afraid.

If it is only just starting to go that might be better than the one I have, and I can refurbish it - let me know when it might be available and I'll come over to see.

If I decide to break it, I'll E-mail some pics over.
