Yes it has been done ............. but posting up the findings are futile ............. some people still won't be happy ........... (not that anyone gives a tosh) ............ something about an ISO 9000 & something number for the test ...............

It's a good job the earth has been proved round by shooting up satalites ........ The cavemen, Romans, and Aztecs were pretty damn sure it was flat !!

That's an urban myth, they all knew the earth was round, watch QI, Stephen Fry knows all the answers but even he cannot confirm a remap gives better MPG figures!

Mmmm.......

A line taken to infinity meets itself, therefore being a circle. Thus the earth could quite feasibly be flat... but taken to infinity, would be circular. Other than photographs, which could lie as they are working in a limited visible spectrum, has there been any conclusive evidence the earth is circular and not really flat, but seen from infinity it appears circular

:)

... but thats just it, its flat, the fallacy lies in thinking the line abrubtly ends with 90' turns.... if the world was indeed a line taken to infinity, thereby creating a circle, there would be no edges

How do satellites stay in orbit in the flat earth universe and how does gravity work? What should mapping satellite cameras record when orbiting a flat earth?
This could become an interesting thread :)

Sorry, you've lost me. Here's why:

1. If you take a globe and flatten it, there's an edge all around it.
2. I don't think the earth is big enough to reach to infinity and back
3. Phileas Fogg travelled around the earth in 80 days!

Don't know about satellites but there's no such thing as gravity, the earth sucks.
