Ok, who wants a remap?
A 2001-2006 diesel,I will remap it, you pay for my fuel to get to you, you then have your car remapped which I will have to pay evolution for the modified map. not you. then you drive it for a week and if your happy with it, you pay for the remap..less the petrol cost. if your not I can take it off. it wont have cost you anything , except for my fuel.. and i'm out of pocket, but I am willing to chance it that you are honest enough to give it a good evaluation...
Any takers???????? :)

Ok, i will take you up on that, seeing as my C200CDI will do 58mpg on a run, let do it!!

Well i am taking you up for the offer and due to driving 80 miles plus every day, and my car isnt the quickest of the line, so in the intrest of the site and putting this long thread to sleep, what can i expect after the re-map, she will do after 5 mile, 50-55mpg at 70 mph,

What can i expect after???

Right, :) 30bhp/55nm torque and I would expect anything from 8%-15% in fuel saving, sometimes more but i dont think i should push my luck...

would next tues 1st be ok for you?

That will be fine, will have the bitch, down for a b service, so might have to leave you to it, no offence Helen!!!

Cant leave our customers as you would understand!

Even worse, it has to be the Bitch!!

I love that word!!

You keep going on about what car and which ................ do you buy those mags ?? ..... cos they have Both done reviews, on the remapp market ........... someone even posted a hyperlink a couple of weeks ago ! .......

You obviously have your own opinion, on remaps .............. dont keep ramming it down our throats ................ your wrong !

Next you'll have us belive that aftermarket flywheels, filters and cranks, dont imporve performance and fuel economy !! .......... cos MB don't sell em !

No Thumper you are wrong again. Nowhere do I say that chips cannot improve performance. Well known they can at the expense of a bit higher insurance, reduced warranty etc as Jberks has said. Nor do I doubt that other products can improve performance. Been there. Done it. Agreed.

But you are wrong about the reviews by expert magazines. Not one has ever claimed that a simple chip will improve your fuel economy by 15%. Find me one and I'll give £100 to charity. And you can choose the charity.

All I am asking for is some reasonable scientific proof of the claims being made. Is that such a daft thing to want? I notice not one person is offering any.

And by the way offering one person a chip to report on, after using it on Britain's crowded roads, where every journey is different, is not a scientific test. Not only are the conditions not right, but also samples of one are useless.

So no links then to these articles you were so sure existed.
And get your facts straight: I like remaps very much and have said clearly that they can improve performance. I do not like false claims backed by no proper scientific research. Chips do not give 15% better fuel economy however much you care to be abusive. Find some proof and I'll recant with pleasure.
