fuel tank cleaning

being short for time i only replaced the strainer in the fuel tank. im thinking of removing the tank when time allows to clean it properly. whats the best way to clean it and whats the best thing to use?

any suggestions? i had thought about something like a hosepipe or a pressure washer, but then id need to get it dried out properly!

Diesel is a very good cleaning agent, but to clean the tank I would flush it with petrol or a degreaser, with petrol you would not have to use water.

ok cheers. i will keep an eye open forsome petrol, maybe with diesel in it from a misfuel from a local garage if i decide to take the tank out when i sort the bodywork!
