My car started leaking really badly. My mechanic who doesnt normally look after my Mercedes looked and said its a fuel tank leak and I would need to replace it. Dealer obviously gave me an insane price and would not use my 2nd hand fuel tank I found online. Anyone know anyone in North East or anywhere really that specialises in this work. Not just anyone can do this work......

Look forward to hearing back. Cheers

Any decent mechanic, engineer shud be well able to do that. Advantage of someone who did it before is he is likely to be quicker at it.

Is it for a petrol vehicle?
I suspect that many workshops shy away from it due to the volatile nature of petrol vapour in fuel tanks.
