Fun in a Mercedes

I spent a few happy hours washing, detailing and polishing two of my cars today, the SL500 and the E320. Then, in the sunshine went for a wonderful drive in the Peak District. Snake Pass is as glorious as ever in the SL500. With the 10" AMGs on the back the corners were exhilarating. Oh the joys of motoring for pure pleasure and for no reason other than fun.

Good point Mike. People tend to "celebrate" the traffic congestion in the UK and moan on about the Motorways.

Here in the West Midlands there is a good A road network and the Motorways have taken a lot of the traffic off the A roads.

There are lots of nice places to go, and motoring for pleasure is still very much alive and well - especially in an SL500.

I do the same some days,,just to get out and enjoy the SL, stop off for lunch, and back home again. The weather has been lousy so far this year down here with just the odd nice day
