Brick are very waterproof compared to blocks which are porous. from memory brick is around 50 newton strength wise and blocks are only about 10-15 newton. It would take some spell of wet weather to soak through on brick never mind two, the mortar joint would be the most absorbent part of the build but you'd never see rain water penetrate a mortar joint two brick thick. I would say with the quality floor you are laying and double brick walls the only place you will lose substantial heat will be through the roof. Is it a flat or pitched roof 00slk?
It is a pitched roof Kev, not sure on the height, the door opening will be 3metres high and the centre of the garage will be high enough to raise a vehicle on a 2 poster. One of the previous builds had a high pitched ceiling and the builders used sarking which helps stop condensation. This was a tin shed.
Another time the ceiling was lined with building paper, kind of like what you put on the outside of a shed roof, but this material was much more pliable. The beams for the roof are steel.
