The weather is over the longer term due to get warmer it is after all January.

I have noticed quite a few more keder sheet or temporary roof scaffolds going up nearby but you haven't got that far to go before the roof is on.

It all changes when the roofs on.

You can start picking out some carpets and curtains.

Roofer coming out next Saturday to check on progress and to see if I have enough tiles and other materials Kev. Another 4 rows of bricks at the front and rear to go I think the Brickie said??

Axminster and pelmets all the way in there ;)

Don't forget the beer fridge JB, I think the Missus is going to buy that

Will you be organising a "Topping Out" ceremony for when the roof goes on? and will it be a Champagne and hors d'oeurves or a Brown Ale and packet of crisps affair? :)

I'd be just happy with bread and water Tony  Its been on the go since July 2019 when the first quote was received.

I was going for this look, very snazzy

Curtains, now there's a thought.......Hell no, the Missus will want to move in!!!!!!

Excellent and can I suggest an Austin Allegro Vanden Plas

a Mercedes would be far too ostentatious and dare I say brash.

Triumph 2.5 Frontstep please

One needs picnic tables and leather with the sense of occasion only the Vanden Plas grille can bring.

It's all about breeding.

Long way to go yet - never mind the roof, he's still got the 2 post lift to get installed!

The way things are going with a few extra hidden costs 2 poster might be a few weeks off :(

My fathers was a 2.5 PI Estate in "Mallard" - it had been a funeral directors flower car so surprising it wasn't black. Absolutely beautiful car (in it's day)

Mallard is a great colour for the MK2 2.5.
Mine is Sienna Brown to disguise the rust

Having had a garage with pit built at the old house, I wish I'd thought/had the money to have a 2 or 4 post lift installed (and modified the design to allow for it!!). Loads easier to lift the car and walk underneath instead of climbing down into a pit - mainly to mop it out rather than work on a car!!

A pit in the Fens worked out a lot more expensive than a good 2 poster. Especially to have one that is deep enough and water proof.
I had a pit put into my first garage build with drainage which was a good move.
A car lift has its advantages over a pit though.
Certainly have to 2 poster marked out ;)

Just waiting now till the Scaffolder comes back to raise the scaffolding so the rest of the bricks can be laid and the steel beams put up. :)

My pit suggestion was tongue in cheek and they are better with a pump or drain with steps rather than a ladder but a ramp is better.

You need light loads of it, even down the walls so you can obsess with the paint.

You should also have forced ventilation, a gas monitor as well as a recovery plan and system for rescue.

No point in skipping on the elf & safty I think we should include blast-proof lights,a call system and a fire suppressing system.

You know I'm sure I have forgotten something.

Or get a ramp...................
