once you put a roof on, "isn't it dark in here"

It sure will be, 1 window and 1 glass door, didn't want to push our luck with the planning as it is already borderline with height and size for a domestic car garage.
My electrician mate is phoning me today with what I'll need in the lighting department.

If it had a full 1st floor it would be bigger than my late parent's 3 bed semi (as was the 26' x 20' garage I had built at our old house!).

A first floor is possible Chris, except it'll be in the way for the lorry and car lift ;)

Slow progress again as things are getting back to normal and tradesmen are extremely busy.
Roofer will be back to finish off the gables when he gets a chance. :( (We really need the scaffolding taken down so the drive can be concreted!)
Guttering fitted though.
The electrician will be here next Wednesday and all the electrical bits ordered.
Garage doors ordered and should be here within the next 2 weeks, so I have been painting the inside blocks, first coat so far, I think I should have bought the smoother block finish as these blocks take a lot of paint and filling around the stones leaves it looking a bit lacking

Really fluffy roller is just about idea for this, oh and as it’s not external, water down the paint by about 1/5th, may take two coats but the finish will be so much better long term

At the start of your project it was suggested fitting a car charger while the ground was out and earthing dilemmas. Well save your money as now spiking for your earth is no longer necessary as a good few chargers now come with everything built in so you can just earth straight to your house pme. So just fit one in the future if needed and save your pennies.

I started with a medium roller and found it was taking far too long, so I purchased a really fluffy masonry roller and it speed through the work :D
Might try the thinning process next Matt ;)

I did think of borrowing my neighbours compressor and spraying the walls but changed my mind when he said he had a telescopic pole for a roller brush

I think the EV scene will be totally different in a few years......When an all EV will self charge while on the move with an auxiliary motor that runs on water. The fuel companies will no longer survive...........

Cheers Jim, there's a little at the end of the tunnel.......Just the light seems a long way away or the tunnel seems a long one. I am thinking it will be all done within 2 months

Not too bad Matt, a little bit of thinning sure helped the paint splash into the crevices.......And over me :D
Certainly speed up the process too. Good call ;)

Yeah that is one of the downsides, but as it’s already watered down it makes showering it off yourself easier ;)

As it dries you’ll notice how much it contracts showing off all the unpainted crevices in the blocks.... :(
Don‘t bother asking how I know...:(

Some further progress today as the electrician came and started fitting the lights and plug sockets, back tomorrow to fit the security lights and switches and to connect up the the consumer unit :)
Still waiting for the roofer to finish off the trim so the Scaffold can come down.
The doors should be fitted next week.
