I guess the budget for the lift is somewhere in the fabric of the garage:D

Its too soon for a diplomatic mission after the garage build I fear. Doomed to failure on the domestic front:D

A gentleman knows when to push and when to rest whilst dealing with the delicate sex.

Finding a benefit of a ramp/pit for she who must be obeyed is an earnest endeavour and one in which you no doubt have our support.

Once you find a form of words that achieves your goal I am sure we would love you to share them.

Where's your vehicle lift! can't have a posh garage like that without a pit or a lift of some description !

I have one for summer use Tony and at a push winter though have to change the oil to a thinner grade which I haven't done this winter
Plus funny you should be mentioning lifts we just bought a Bradley 4 poster for my son today, (birthday present) so my indoor lift will have to wait now, plus the Missus is redecorating our bedroom, lounge and hallways up and downstairs  But wait, there's more....10 days holiday in Switzerland in June and 3 months in New Zealand in October........working on my lift purchase though at some point for the garage :D old faithful will suffice in the mealtime ;)

Your wife is obviously not from the same mould as mine - soon as Cora's head hits the pillow the mouth opens and the comments and bright ideas start - and go on and on despite me putting my CPAP mask on, turning the CPAP pump on, turning my bedside light off and turning over for sleep! Like you, sometimes I am able to get a few hours sleep!!:(
:(

Oh sleep apnea doesn't sound good for you Chris.
My lack of sleep is waking up between 7:30 to 9am and going to bed at 3am everyday. I have a much too active mind. My sleep is gained through complete exhaustion. Every so often it all catches up with me and I can sleep 10 to 12 hours, when I wake up I am annoyed with myself as there's too much to do
It Certainly makes time fly

The finishing touches have now been made to the garage build after the first decision was made to build a bigger garage, with many delays from....oooooh how much  to council involvement, then Covid, gas pipes and finally unavailable workman, its been a long road since February 2019 and now the last piece of the puzzle fitted a couple of week ago and signed off by the council happy days
With all my cars needing work I now look forward to going to my normal job for a rest

Geneva is very nice in June, especially the lake, I might get back there again this year, but looking more like Spain in May, and Belgrade in September...yearly jaunt. :)

I'm not sure Matt, I just tend to leave all the holiday planning to the Missus, she gets all the holiday company emails and starts there with bettering the deals by scouring the internet. Most of the time it is or she can strike a cheaper deal through walking into a travel agent on the high street :)
We are flying there and I believe it is a combination of bus and train journey to there beauty spots. I will endeavour to ask her this weekend.

Yes Chris we are starting to look forward to the NZ holiday, as last years was cancelled mainly because of Covid and NZ wanted us to isolate at their expense for 2 weeks. We go back there every 5 years for a holiday and do a few trips down memory lane, like Baldhill Rd, Bright Rd, Drury Farm, Pukekohe Race track :D

After a nice break in Switzerland in June I saved up enough money to buy some materials to add a shelf to the garage yesterday. This will be mainly used for those parts one should never throw out because they will come in handy one day :D

Always a good idea to utilise space ;)
