gear probs in auto c200

i have a c200 diesel auto 2004 reg merc which has done 36000 miles it has a problem with the lower end of the gears it just slips out of gear when driving has anyone had the same problem if so what is wrong with my car?

Not sure, but there is an issue with radiator coolant leaking into the transmission in cars with Valeo radiators. Check if your car has the Valeo rad. If it has it should be repalced, the problem is if it happens it affects the transmission badly. 36k is low mileage.

The valeo issue causes vibrations and noises at 1500 to 2000 RPM, low on fluid??? not a normal fault that comes up much, a dirty valve block can do this, but as you say Olaf worth checking to see if it has the valeo rad though this ended 09 03
