Gear select problem

Hi we have a Vario 814 d
engine type om364la
Chassis, 6703132p165066
Was working fine and suddenly only got first and reverse any ideas on fixing or how to work out what the issue is would be great thanks

Auto or manual

If manual , check the gear select rods from gearstick to gearbox. The joint can work loose and move .

Manual have got inside and seems a plastic bush has disintegrated and bits have got into gears clean it out waiting on replacement
