gear stick gaitor how do i replace this?

Bought a new gaitor cover 4 my 04 vito , the old one was tatty.
is there any advice on how to replace said item without breaking the trim.

I do not know the Vito well but on the cars the gear shift cover / Gaitor just prises out and held with spring clips on the four corners.

With the VIN number I may be able to give an exact answer

Just prise out round the edges, lift skirt over knob, undo and remove knob you can now remove old gaitor and replace new one . A 10 min job. There are two types fitted to 638 Vitos very early ones did not have a leather gaitor.

Got the cover off but unable to remove the gear knob it appears to be attached to the linkage ie reverse ( lift ) gear.
so still struggleing.
what happen to just unscrewing the gear knob , old days

Is there a collet on the underside end, if so you just turn this one 1/4 turn anti clock and it pulls off
