Hi All,

I wanted to know if changing or just adding some gearbox/transmission oil , if it’s something that I can do myself? I'm not really techy, but I really don’t want to pay a mechanic £240 if its something that I can do myself.

Basically, the gearbox is starting to make some noise when I'm driving. It sounds like there is something dry in there. The noise disappears for a sec when I’m making turns and then comes back when I'm driving straight.

Any ideas please?

Many many thanks :)

Hello and welcome to the forum ,,this noise then is not likely to be the gearbox, I would check that the engine mounts have not collapsed throwing the drive chain out of line, or maybe the center bearing on the prop shaft
