gearbox problem

any one give any advice on possilble causes of gearbox on c180 sport going into limp mode ,what parts may have failed :confused:

As the are 7 different C180s what is the VIN 203--- or 202---

Not really, Malcolm Needs the 3 numbers after 202 to look it up on his system

This is too hard, you must get the fault codes read out, to see if an engine or gearbox fault. Go to an indie, does not cost that much.

There are many mods on this car.

thanks to all for advice ,had car checked on computer and reason gearbox went into limp mode was due to a faulty abs sensor on one of the front wheels ,bulb must be faulty on abs warning light that it didnt come on,memory was cleared and car running fine plan to get sensor changed

Thanks for comming back, the ABS is probably OK, just turn the key to 2 and the ABS lamp should be lit and go out on starting the car.

Re the sensor the car takes the speed from the ABS and it may be just a little weak.

So please it all going well, I had nothing for the fault that you had.
