Hello all, i hope there's someone who knows
So i need to source another 7G gearbox... Looking at ebay there are lots of variations very similar to what i need, so my 2 questions are...... would one from a diesel fit my petrol? & what are the slight differences between the part numbers? I've found some that are type 722.997 and with the first part of the part number 204 270 #### are the same but the final few numbers are different, so what does this mean or am i looking too far into it and they all fit as long as a 7G 722.997

Central gear shift (not column)
Gearbox part number: 204 270 6902
Gearbox type : 722.997
